ISO: The Perfect Pecan Cracker

.and they're not the same. First, it's a dangerous tool. It was easy to cut off the fingertip. Use with caution! KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. It comes with no instructions and I don't understand what it says on the box "just how to flip the blue cap". This mechanism does not work well with small nuts. The gap between the knives is 1/4 inch. The handle folds at the end and will pinch your hand if held too far back, and the angle of the blades seemed reasonable on the one I got. The main downside is that it takes longer to crack the pecans if you have to cut all four sides. This is the fourth cracker I've bought this season. So far my favorite was made by Precision Manufacturing of Waco, Texas (no longer available), but it needs installation and I'm looking for another wearable device. I've given it two for safety and the time it takes to trim. Nuts. Otherwise he can do a good job.
