First of all, I really like that the floss has already been disassembled for you. My least favorite thing about starting a new cross stitch is breaking up all the thread and getting organized. Everything is nicely labeled and organized in this cross stitch, so you're ready to go as soon as you open it. Second, I have only completed 2 cross stitch projects. Both took me a long time and I had a hard time avoiding mistakes that confused me. The design is divided into separate sections, and since each individual square has a background pattern, this helped me avoid mistakes that are difficult to correct. I recommend filling in part of the background for each square, before you start drawing the animal and the letter or number. This will give you more clues to make sure you calculated the pattern correctly, and to spot and correct errors. This will be a present for my niece, due in a few months. I find it adorable and the design suits both boys and girls. You will not regret if you buy this!
