I wanted a new antenna for my router to improve WiFi coverage in my house. Specifically, the cable goes to the modem/router in the basement, but I want to use the WiFi upstairs. It's easy to install - just unscrew and screw in the old antenna. However, the Wi-Fi strength measured by the app on my tablet was only marginally better than the original. I've tried moving it and looking in different directions etc but nothing seems to change.
