So, disappointment, the water went right under

I had high hopes for this product but it didn't suit me at all. We have an isolated room in the basement that leaks from time to time. Instead of spreading the water thinly all over the basement, I was hoping I could use this dam to keep the water in a confined space where it would seep into the basement so I could then pump it out. Unfortunately, while it deployed easily and soaked up water quickly, it didn't stop water from seeping underneath. "dry" side of the dam) Maybe it would be good for some applications, but for me it was a very expensive failure.
