Poor LED design

Here is an email I sent to MotoPower Customer Service regarding the LED but never got a reply. Subtract one star for poor ad UI design and one star for poor customer support. I also see in other reviews that people complain that the light is always green. One person even complained that he charged an empty battery for 3 days (with glowing green) and the charge was not delivered. He found that his charger had the red clip incorrectly stamped negative and the black clip positive. Here is my email: Hello, I recently bought a MOTOPOWER MP00205A 12V 800mA charger so I can continuously charge my batteries. Snow thrower battery for 7-8 months when not in use. I set it up today and the question arose: The battery was bought at the beginning of this winter, about 5 months ago, so it's relatively new. When I connect the charger, the indicator lights up green. If I then connect it to the battery, it stays green. I understand this means it's fully charged, but how do I know if the charger is installed correctly? If I unplug one or both terminal connectors or even swap the connectors, the light just stays green. I wish there was better feedback from the device ie the indicator would be off (or maybe amber) until properly connected to the battery. , then it lights up green or flashes green. If the terminals were connected to the wrong terminals I would expect the indicator to be red. The problem seems to be that you are using the green light for two different purposes (turned on or fully charged). I may have clips on the wrong terminals or even the plug that goes from the charger to the clips isn't installed properly and I think everything is working fine because the green light is on. So how can I know if the charger is working and properly connected to the battery?
