Excellent rear view camera video quality, but beware of rust and wiring

I have mixed opinions on how to rate this rear camera because its video quality is really good and the build quality goes from poor in one batch to good in another batch or revision. When I first bought it I initially got a model with holes and a rougher frame finish that was already rusted in that area, while the replacement had a smooth finish with a square where the camera attached to the frame (see photo ). . . ). The wiring is also of poor quality, and by that I mean the cross-section of the cable. I couldn't get it to work because I thought I connected it wrong or the camera was DOA, but the real problem is that the wire gauge is so thin that the quick splice I used never touched their wiring. . Once I figured that out I used a butt joint from her wire to a heavier gauge wire and then from the ticker wire to a quick connector that connected to the car's wiring. I've posted pictures of the connection to a Camry XLE 02 with a Kenwood DDX9705S double din receiver hoping it will help someone else.
