bought the router primarily for parental controls but despite my experience with computers and networking I can't get them to work in a meaningful way. The documentation for this feature is poor and others on the web seem to find it as well. Two more complaints There was a security issue that caused Motorola to release a firmware update. Several people on the net are complaining that the latest firmware that fixes the security issue is not stable. also applies to firmware upgrades - the release notes for the upgrade are incorrect. Firmware updates are .exe files that the router will not accept. I assume they are self-extracting executables, which is a problem for Mac users. Looking at other reviews, people seem happy, but think twice about using parental controls at all, and see if they've released new firmware that fixes the issues mentioned.
