I have used KN reusable filters on two of my cars. To be honest I'm not sure if this improves performance. I have not attempted to calculate any gain in fuel economy or performance gains. It is important to me not to spend 10-20 euros on replacement filters. A few thoughts, in no particular order: don't use too much oil (purple spray), make sure you insert the filter properly (if so installed), make sure the filter is dry before applying oil, and make sure you have a spare filter on hand while the reusable filter is cleaned.
