I bought 3 of these cables to connect some of my devices to an ethernet network and set them up as a wired backhaul for my three wireless access points. When testing, I plug a random Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable straight from my laptop into the router directly and get about the best use of my gigabit fiber connection. With all three of these cables, my speed immediately drops to about 70-75% of that (700-750 Mbps from 1000 Mbps). I don't know where all the good reviews are coming from, maybe it's people not trying to achieve gigabit bandwidth, but I don't think these cables are for me.
