Not only did this jacket prove to be the style my grandson wanted, it also proved to be reliable outerwear for rainy or cold days. The sleeves and bottom hem are tied with drawstrings to protect against strong cold winds. Not a winter coat, but a lightly padded rain jacket. The hood is detachable but is securely fastened when in use with two Velcro straps on either side of the collar. for cool or rainy weather. My grandson thinks it's perfect because of the color and design. Looks the same as in the photos. I recommend this jacket, great find.
