Review on 2021 Upgraded Meat Thermometer: SOQOOL Digital Instant Read for Cooking, Candy, BBQ Grill - Folding Probe, Backlight, Calibration by Jerrica Colbert

I've had 4 or 5 instant thermometers and they all worked well enough so I won't bore you with the basics but will tell you why i absolutely LOVE it from the start compared to all my others.1. THE BACKLIT DISPLAY convinced me to buy it. None of my others have this, and while I thought it would come in handy when grilling in the dark at night, I already use and enjoy this feature in the kitchen. 2. FOLDING HEAD. Again, none of my other probes have this, and not only is it convenient as it greatly reduces the overall length for storage, but there isn't a tiny protective tip to lose as this probe folds back into the unit. 3. OVERALL SIZE/FEEL/GRIP - This one is "bigger" than my others, fits better in the hand, and has a better overall feel.4. BATTERY COMPARTMENT. I was pleased to see that the lid has a slot that can be opened with a BUTTER KNIFE. No need to search for your readers and a tiny screwdriver. Believe me, these are small things :)
