I wanted to learn how to crochet. Talks about everything, says it's for beginners. This takes you to page 17, where you start with the Slipknot as the setting. Then on page 18 shows hands in correct position to hold yarn, hook and slipknot. Then suddenly on page 18 we hear about the importance of the crochet kit and jump straight to chapter 2 โ measurement and clothing. In Chapter 2, you'll measure your gauge and see if you're on the right track by creating a pattern. From slipknot to tracking your rows and measurements - THIS DOES NOT EXPLAIN HOW TO REALLY KEEP CROCHET STITCHES. For example, after the slipknot, how can you crochet and / or make loops of any kind, even make a quarrel? It in no way explains how to make a stitch, how to continue or how to get the chance, say, to make a pattern. I don't know how else to explain this absurdity. Well if I knew how to crochet some of the included projects might look fun. I am struck by this glaring omission in the Guide for Dummies.
