Super easy installation could be easier if you are reading this review

One of the best color prints with great pictures, instructions I have ever seen or used, the only way the instructions could be better, if they didn't use such a rusty truck for photos. I only really have three complaints, and only when I was really trying to think of something to complain about. first the air fitting, then in the next step you turn it around and screw on the bottom bracket. The air port just gets in your way and you risk damaging it if you bump into it first. I noticed this before I did and questioned why they put it on in the first place. There's no reason not to screw the air connector on until AFTER you've screwed on the bottom bracket. 2) Everything went smooth and hassle free until one of the last steps, then they made me swear. Insert two screws into the slotted holes of the installed top bracket and at the same time try to align the top plate and the threaded holes in the real airbags to start threading. What the hell are you doing to me?! Why did they have to send "rolling plates" in 4 separate pieces? They should have just made them at the factory as part of the top and bottom of the airbag. Here's a tip for those preparing to install them: I would, but figured there must be a reason they're leaving the top and bottom rollers. Plates as individual parts, no! The night before your scheduled installation, line up the holes for the top roller plate with the holes in the top of the airbag and secure with silicone or construction adhesive. This will make your life a lot easier when it comes time to start carving as you screw everything into the top mount. 3) My Silverado tandem has a lift height of 3 inches. I called Air Lift Tech Support and waited 45 minutes to speak to someone about whether I needed 2" or 4" spacers as they don't make 3" spacers. Their website vaguely suggests that I want more stretch than compression, leading me to believe I should be using 2" spacers. Your tech support guy told me exactly the opposite: I want to push more than stretch and need to use 4" spacers for a 3" lift, so I went that route. I probably didn't need spacers at all, but if there was one thing it was only 2" spacers. When the spring was fully assembled without purchasing additional shims, it was exactly the same as the space it would fill on my truck with 3" spacer blocks under my leaf springs. If you have a 3" lift with no spacers, it's best to just use 2" spacers. With 4" shims on my 3" lift, even putting a minimum of 5psi pressure in the pockets, the back of my truck rises 1" higher than the front without my truck being loaded. Even without an airbag, the rear of my truck sits noticeably higher than the front wheel after initial installation because I used the 4 inch spacers that I was told over the phone.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No productivity
