Review on πŸ’» ORICO USB 3.0 Hub Clamp Adapter: Aluminum 4-port USB Splitter with Power Supply and Data Cable – Ultra-Portable USB Expander for MacBook Air, Laptop, PC by Mark Tompkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another winner from Orico

This is my third purchase of an Orico product - I've previously used their transparent 2.5" SATA portable drive enclosure and their SATA to USB3 Dock/Clone bought two drives. Everything worked exactly as described with no problems. The USB3 hub I received today is typical of all products I have received from this manufacturer - great build quality, attractive looks and above all flawless functionality. The time from opening the box to It takes 5 minutes to plug in and use the external drive. The USB3.0 A-to-A cable is about 3 feet long, so there's no problem connecting the port on the back of the hub to the port on my docking station on the back of my table. If you are planning on getting this item, be aware: the name of the item on Revain is a bit misleading; it says "Auxiliary Power Supply" when it's actually a PORT for an additional power supply on the device, which is explained further in the first paragraph of the description. This is a micro USB connector that can be connected to an external (not included) 5V power source (e.g. a phone charger) if you want to use the device as a self-powered USB hub. If you need this functionality and don't have old phone chargers and micro USB cables, you should include what you need when you place your order. Even with that minor downside, this little hub is a great deal.
