Good product. I used as advertised in the first picture (taken from the product description images in Revain). The next picture is the one of the window panel with the strip installed and it is that greyish band (its transparent silicone affixed over the black aluminum frame) that I surrounded with a red circle. I'm using it along with other measures like Window Frame Brush Strip on top rail, as well as with neoprene Window Insulation strips on the sides of the frame to achieve insulation, prevent dust from coming in through the gaps and even a little soundproofing for my air conditioned home office. Is very easy to install, just clean the surface where it is going to be affixed, then rub it with the provided moist fabric (with some kind of adhesive enhancer chemical), remove the white strip covering the adhesive and affix the strip along the prepared surface (metal in my window). Recommended.
