Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Eventek KPS305D: Advanced Adjustable Switching Regulated Power Supply by Dewitt Bhattacharya

Good switching power supply

Good switching power supply. Mine arrived in perfect condition. It handles two-wire shorts without blown fuses, smoke, fire, or malfunction. It's electrically louder than a linear power supply, but I haven't had any problems. I mainly use hobbyist electronics that rarely need more than one amplifier - logic chips, Arduino projects, etc. The coarse and fine adjustment knobs work well and I don't find them overly sensitive. Easily set the right tension. Voltage and current values were between 0.1 volts and 0.01 amps measured with a Fluke multimeter in the 3-12 volt range. I don't actually use tensions about it. This is accurate enough for my purposes. My other power supply is a "home" variety, so it's nice to be able to display the voltage and amperage on this unit. I left this on for a few days to run clock circuits to check for time loss and it worked flawlessly. The only thing I have is that the alligator clips separate the wires with very little force and the other side of the wires uses an eye plug instead of a banana plug. I re-crimped the alligator clips but am still using a different set of wires. Overall I'm very happy with this power supply for the price.
