We played this game when the kids were growing up in the 60's and 70's with 6 dice from other games. I never knew it had a name, we just called it The Dice Game, but it was often a family staple (if all 10 people were playing!). do not interfere in the conversation. Teaches the benefits of taking risks rather than not trying your luck, kids can quickly master addition and require nothing more than a pen/paper to count and a flat surface to roll the dice making it fully portable and playable almost anywhere can, with no electricity or wifi required.
