Tap requires more input

I have installed many helical coils over the years and these are by no means the worst. At the same time, the crane really needs a longer rope. My photo shows it (right) versus a standard plug faucet (left). The supplied tap is a semi-deep tap and is very difficult to drive into a hole even with the right driver, tapping oil and a lot of tapping experience. This made the faucet wobble, enlarging the hole. The finished product felt "soft" compared to the unpeeled holes when tightened to just 43 ft-lb, and I actually let them shy a little for fear they might rip the coiled coils. Not sure if it was just mild stainless steel or if the hole was too big due to the faucet wobbling. It would be 4 stars if the faucet was a properly grounded plug faucet with 4-5 threads to make it easier/straighter to start.
