To be honest, we were not expecting this to work as well as it does! We have a major wasp problem this year and decided to go the DIY natural deterrent route instead of using harsh chemicals. After formulating our "wasp's brew" we decided to try this battery powered sprayer instead of going with the manual pump handle type. When the unit arrived, it appeared to be used as the tank was wet and smelling a bit of mildew? After contacting revain, they were kind enough to ship another new unit that had the exact same situation. What we have come to find out is that the factory does "wet testing" prior to shipping and this results in a bit of stale dampness smell in the tank. Thanks to revain for helping above and beyond AGAIN!The unit comes with a 2ah battery that is basically 90% charged on arrival. We put it on the charger to top it off and within 10 minutes it was fully charged. The battery has multiple charge LED's that indicate the level of charge once you press the button.The unit has EXCELLENT back padding and very nice shoulder straps. I found that even with the tank filled with over 3 gallons, it was very comfortable to carry, especially with the cross buckle strap.We used the extendable metal sprayer arm and delivered 12 gallons of homemade wasp spray on every inch of our entire soffit and gutters around the whole house. That means that we filled the tank 4 full times. The unit has two speeds (Low and High) and we found the majority of the time the low speed was perfect, but when we wanted to reach the 2nd story, we simply switched to high and it was awesome to reach about 30 feet up with the direct stream.It performed perfectly and we are more than impressed with the unit. After going through 4 tanks of almost continuous spraying, the battery was still showing a full charge, but to check, we put it on the charger and it topped off in just a few minutes. I would estimate that this unit could utilize a single full charge for several hours of spraying but we will find out as we will really put it through its paces over the next several weeks.Hope this helps anyone that is considering to purchase, but we cannot recommend it enough!
