Solid beginner set that I've used for several months now. However, there are some issues I've run into.First of all, the boston shakers are of an atypical size; common sizes you'll see in bars and videos have 28oz and 18oz cans. Here, the cans are 24oz and 20oz, and in my experience, this smaller size difference makes it a bit easier for them to come apart when shaking with one hand. It's not an issue if you hold it firmly with both hands though, and you can kind of force a seal by either cooling the shakers with ice or slamming the cans together.Secondly, the jiggers. The measurements are also fairly unusual for US standards. I assumed the mL amounts they measure would translate neatly into oz amounts like 1.5 oz, 3/4 oz, etc. but nope. The 25mL/50mL jigger does not translate at all. The 30mL/60mL jigger does measure 1 and 2 oz respectively, but I had to get a better jigger to get all the other measurements.Lastly, though this is the most minor of my complaints, the stand itself isn't the most aesthetic thing in the world. It almost looks like cardboard with lettering on it, presumably because the paper wasn't peeled off during production. This makes it look pretty unfinished.Everything else is good though; the hawthorne strainer, metal straws, and bar spoon in particular have come in handy often. Not a bad set for the value, but you could probably find another set with better shakers and jiggers.
