Review on SIOUX CHIEF GIDDS 710001 Putty Gasket by Hayden Hart

I was constantly leaking plumbing putty. I ordered two of these pads. First I placed it on the sink basket and sticky side down directly on the sink basket. I used the other one under the sink (between the sink itself and the nut that screws onto the sink basket), but I didn't remove the protective white adhesive paper. I left the white backing paper on the gasket instead of taking it off so it doesn't pinch the nut when I tighten the nut around the sink basket. That way the white paper you would normally peel off is facing down toward the nut. And it worked GREAT! I HATE plumbing. I installed this about a month ago and haven't had any leaks. The seal is more like foam than rubber.
