I have a Meyer Parakeet, very small by parrot standards, about 7 inches tall. He is picky about his toys but chose this one straight away. It is optically very good, bright, large wooden part in the middle. I thought I might have found a toy that lasted longer than a week. However, even my little bird nibbled on it so after about 8 hours it fell off the top of the cage. The problem is that my bird chews on the top and the screw only goes in about an inch and a half. Since they all have steel beaks in one spot after some consistent chewing, this goes back. It should have a chain or string running all the way through the piece of wood and it will make a great toy. Because for me it was a waste of money. That's a pity, because it looks very good and my parrot liked it immediately.
