I never write reviews but I have no idea how they get so many good reviews, it's complete bullshit! I should have listened to some of the bad reviews I saw on here. A pair of handles creaked very badly, and the locks themselves were very capricious. We found that on some we had to hold the handle in a certain position for the lock to turn, but over time it didn't even work and some locks would freeze completely and not turn at all. One of the latches started to stick and even when it was open we couldn't get it to turn the internal mechanism far enough to disengage the plate mounted on the door frame and people stayed on one side or the other of the door. I've been messing around with these things endlessly for the last 4 months trying to get them to work, occasionally swapping out a door that seemed to work for a door that we have to lock more often only to find it then stops . works, sometimes in the process of reinstallation. As another reviewer said, I think the internals are just really poorly done. I wanted them to work so badly because of the price and how beautiful they look, but they're not worth the headache. One good thing I would like to say is that Revain's customer service is fantastic! They were willing to work with me to get a refund, so thanks for that Revain! Now I bite the bullet and buy a more reputable brand despite the higher price :(
