My problem was that my generator started and then stopped. The fuel pump was a possible cause so I changed it. But after doing some more work, I discovered that the problem was actually in my carburetor. After replacing the carburetor, the engine is heavily flooded. I checked the output pressure on this pump and found it to be around 6psi, which is way too much. It should be around 2 psi. I installed my original fuel pump and now the engine runs perfectly. When I found out about this, it was unfortunately a long time since I returned. If your engine chokes after installing this carburetor, be sure to check the fuel pump pressure.
