Nice product, but a pity that there is no standalone version!

I've tried LOTS of protein powders and am always looking for the best (flavor, ingredients, mixability and value for money). I recently tried this powder after switching to a herbal formula for a while as I wanted to get the muscle building benefits of whey. My main criteria was to find a truly organic source of grass-fed whey, a very limited amount of additional ingredients, and only stevia as a sweetener. This seemed like spot on and had good reviews so I gave it a try! In short, I loved it and definitely recommend it for its quality, value and mixability. I was pretty happy with the taste, and I found adding a little monk to it to be more acceptable. I'm not particularly picky about taste. I think the list of ingredients is solid. The reason I won't be buying more is because I've decided that if I'm going to use whey protein powder, I want whey isolate instead of whey concentrate (which it is). For those of you who don't know the difference, here's a simplified explanation. When whey is processed, it goes through several stages to increase its protein content while reducing carbohydrates and fat. In general, whey concentrate contains up to 80% protein by weight, with the remaining 20% carbohydrate/fat. Additional processing steps can be taken to increase the protein content to 90% or more and further reduce the fat and carbohydrate content. This is a whey isolate. The amino acid profile of both is identical. Whey isolate also contains less lactose than concentrate, which is very important for people with dairy intolerance or sensitivity (like me). In general, the lactose in both products is low enough that most people won't notice a difference in how they feel, but if you're hypersensitive an isolate is best. Due to the higher purity and more intensive processing, the isolate is usually more expensive than the concentrate. So if you're someone like me who tracks your macros in minute detail, tries to cut carbs, is cutting down, or is simply more sensitive to lactose, then Whey Isolate is for you. While we're not talking big numbers, I prefer to cut out a few extra carbs and fats from my protein powder and add them in my own controlled way with macadamia nut or avocado oil. If this company made a protein isolate version of this powder using their happy New Zealand cows, I would probably buy it! I've since switched to NutraBio Grass Fed Whey Isolate and so far I'm loving it! 100% Protein, 1 Carb, Zero Fat, No Bulking Agents, No Lactose, Fewer Calories, More Protein. I sincerely hope this review was helpful to someone else! And yes, I paid full price for it. Feel free to ask any questions!
