The uses for this are endless. So far I've used this to level the exterior doors I've installed in my house, which was a lot better than constantly walking on the level because I could see the laser line as I moved. I've also used it to place extra outlets in the wall and keep them level with existing outlets and I had a friend use it to draw stripes on his walls. With a tripod this thing is deadly and you're guaranteed to find more and more uses! **UPDATE** I still love her very much. I've used this to tile the tub, install the paneling (to align, profile and nail my baseboards to the studs), screw new drywall to the studs, install shelving in my garage, install the tub at the Align installation and had to use this to align my floor joists with sheathing strips when I reinstalled the sub floor (I kicked myself for the last one). My only concern is that because my tripod drops so low and can be on the go, I wish I had a better, more versatile mounting bracket. I used the magnets built into the device, but if I remember correctly I haven't used the bracket that came with it.
