I was so excited when I finally made the decision to buy a tofu press. I liked the idea of not only removing as much water as possible from the tofu, but also preparing it in the fridge. But I was disappointed with this purchase because this tofu press is too difficult to clamp. Once one side is pinched, it is very difficult to secure the opposite side. I'm talking about almost spraining my wrist. Twice I had to ask my daughter to help me close it if you can imagine. Several times I managed to close it myself, but not without great effort. The only reason I give it two stars is because it does a good job of extracting water. It's just not worth the frustration or pain of trying to turn it off.
