Review on 📶 NETGEAR Orbi Ultra-Performance Home Mesh WiFi System - AC3000 Router and Two Satellite Extenders, Coverage up to 6,000 sq. ft., Speeds up to 3Gbps (RBK53) by Saumeen Shamoon

I originally bought this product because I have a big house and needed to expand my WiFi network. We're bandwidth hogs here, so we should have paid a little more. Our previous Wi-Fi range extender had a multiple reboot issue that left us without a connection for several minutes. And since I work from home depending on the strong connection, that was a deal killer. So I bought the Orbi system. It worked great at first. Then, as some of the other reviews say, the honeymoon was over. The router device would intermittently start rebooting, during which time the connection would drop for a minute or two at a time. He often did this 2-3 times in a row. I've installed new firmware several times, checked the internet, etc. Sometimes things seemed to improve for a while, but not for long. In hindsight, this was pretty random, so I don't think it resulted in long-term improvements. Here's the main point: This problem is encountered by many customers. And Netgear doesn't seem to be doing much about it. In particular, their policy is that they will NOT provide you with customer support if you have your product more than 90 days unless you pay for it. Have a problem that MANY other customers have had the same problem and are asking for more of your money to help you with it? Sorry Netgear. I gave you 2 stars because your product is good when it works. Or anything else you suggest until you do something about your user-unfriendly support policy. This morning alone, the router rebooted at least half a dozen times. I don't care how good it is if it works - if it shuts down that much, it's not worth a penny. Too bad about Netgear!
