Garbage. Check out the Netgears Orbi community page.

Garbage. Worked great for a month or two. The system is now fully functional, maybe 20% of the time. It resets the internet (Netgear DSL modem), resets one satellite, then another. Sometimes both. The main unit works most of the time otherwise I would write off almost $500 for this thing. I hope they fix this with a software update but if it still doesn't work after 2 months then it's time to throw it away. If in doubt, visit Netgears' own website. You have a forum. This is a common problem and

Updated Review - Terrible Product - LAN ports stop forwarding

Had to return this product in less than a week. The LAN ports on the back of routers and satellites would block for no reason and stop forwarding. After doing some research on the NetGear community, I came across a strange spanning tree issue with software blocking all ethernet ports instead of the wifi connection. Enlisting support is difficult, and the people who send them to the front are useless. This is a known issue that they seem unaware of. And I'm a long-time NetGear user and all ofโ€ฆ

I was really hoping that everything would be as promised. They worked pretty well when I first set them up. But like many other reviews I've seen, the problems start as soon as you update to the new V2 firmware. Satellites are intermittent. Well, for a while, then it's impossible to keep in touch. This is when I'm sitting with my computer 8ft from the satellite in a straight line to the location and the main orbi is only 20ft the other way (in the next room, straight line to the locationโ€ฆ

High speeds, but something serious always breaks after a year

A year has passed and unfortunately I cannot recommend it. The hardware is excellent and the installation is very easy. It's just that Netgear's software development is just terrible. Consumer-grade stuff like this should be feature-poor and high stability, but it's feature-poor and no stability. --- Updated after 18 months: nothing changed, occasional disconnects --- After working with Netgear for the past 6 months and 8 firmware updates, AVOID THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT STABILITY. I originally bought this product because I have a big house and needed to expand my WiFi network. We're bandwidth hogs here, so we should have paid a little more. Our previous Wi-Fi range extender had a multiple reboot issue that left us without a connection for several minutes. And since I work from home depending on the strong connection, that was a deal killer. So I bought the Orbi system. It worked great at first. Then, as some of the other reviews say, the honeymoon was over. The routerโ€ฆ

Great endorsement from a real end user.

If there was ever a product that exceeded my expectations, it was the Orbi AC3000 (3 Hub System). market) I chose the Netgear Orbi Wifi solution. My home is 5238 square feet and is divided into 2 floors. I also needed coverage in a large 2 1/2 car attached garage and a very large two story detached garage 80 feet wide by 32 feet deep (whose nearest corner is 50 feet from the nearest corner of my house). I know I asked these 3 orbi hubs to provide MUCH more coverage than advertised and I wasn'tโ€ฆ
