I like this ABS filament but I'm having serious spool adhesion issues

I know about ABS but I can't get this filament to reliably stick to my build plate. Current settings: Snapmaker 2, desktop temp 100°C, nozzle temp 235°C, default desktop, semi-enclosed build area. These settings are great for the hatchbox ABS I usually use as well as an old unmarked partial ABS reel that someone gave me. I understand that not all filaments are created equal, not even for the same type, and I just have to tweak the settings until it works, but I'm really frustrated that I can't get past the edge-to-edge stage even sooner than most projects Completely detached from the work platform - with or without borders. I'm still trying to find the settings that work best for my printer and this filament, but so far no setting changes have improved adhesion as much as adding blue masking tape to the build plate. Just a note about the ribbon, I've never done this with my other ABS prints. Despite this, the adhesion problems persist and the edges of the build plate lift after about 4 lines. A 10 or 15 line border is not possible and the lack of border printing causes warping of the underlying layers. However, with the press running, the layers look fine, although interlayer adhesion could be better. It's a bit weaker than what I'm used to from the ABS filament I've used up to this point, but overall it's not unusually weak. Proper temperature settings can improve this. It could also be specific parts I'm trying to print. Warping is a little worse than what I'm used to from other ABS I use, although I don't have a fully enclosed build area so some level of warping will always be an issue with any ABS filament until this is addressed . . The finish on successfully printed parts is good and the edges are sharp and on par or even slightly better than the ABS I've used to date. Overall I have to say I am disappointed with this product. considering how much I've had to do up until this point just trying to get this thread to work properly while the others are working with no issues. Before I bought this thread I was expecting a bunch of tweaks, but having to resort to using the ribbon completely changes my workflow. If it was an entirely new and exotic type of filament with unusual properties you would expect this kind of pressure setting adjustment, but it's ABS and should be similar to what I'm currently working with. I don't like the amount of work I've had to do so far just to get this thread working as well as I have it now. Oddly enough, I still feel like this thread could be almost as good as the Hatchbox ABS, which I prefer (but can't get due to COVID) if - and only if - I can figure out the right temperature ranges for it. a thread. I don't think I have a bad or otherwise defective ABS batch because when the prints are successful I see results that are quite similar to other ABS prints I've made in terms of print quality. This leads me to think that the settings I'm currently playing with aren't entirely wrong, although I'm getting to the point where I don't want to deal with ongoing settings changes and failed builds anymore. At this point I'll just buy another roll of ABS elsewhere and move on.
