Poor plastic quality means poor print quality.

This consistently resulted in bad prints. A few small prints came out fine. Those that were rounder or more complicated looked terrible. The material that makes up this thread is a different type of ABS. When I bought my printer, I received a spool of filament (also ABS) with the printer itself. The filament is extruded at 235-255 degrees Celsius and has a sweet, light, slightly plastic smell (sorry, I don't know how else to describe it). This thread burned at the same temperature, but the…

If you DON'T NEED it, go for PLA

ABS can't be that good. Unless you have a specific reason to print from ABS; However, you should avoid it. The difference in ABS and PLA printing is like driving a car with a joystick versus an automatic transmission. He's picky and this ABS is no exception. On a heated bed (110°C), with a head temperature of 238°C, with a raft over hairspray-soaked Kapton tape, I still had enough creases to ruin the print. Suspension from ABS, the same. Fast print speed (95mm/s), slow print speed (30mm/s), fan

I know about ABS but I can't get this filament to reliably stick to my build plate. Current settings: Snapmaker 2, desktop temp 100°C, nozzle temp 235°C, default desktop, semi-enclosed build area. These settings are great for the hatchbox ABS I usually use as well as an old unmarked partial ABS reel that someone gave me. I understand that not all filaments are created equal, not even for the same type, and I just have to tweak the settings until it works, but I'm really frustrated that I can't…
