Too many questions: Home Audio

Really good sound, great subwoofer. Good that there is 3.1, the center channel really helps. Crappy wall mounts. They had to make a better wall mount and get rid of useless color changing end caps. I like the remote feel but it's cheap. I have had many soundbars and this one is truly amazing. I've had home theater systems and soundbars that don't really compare, but are easier to install and offer a lot more flexibility. Plays well in different modes. It doesn't expand the sound as much as DTS Virtual X in surround mode, but it works well. When playing Blu-ray it actually works with DTS HD (in surround sound) and wow. Your TV sound card must support DTS HD and you must use Arc! It has a fuller sound than many bars, it's very loud, the next level goes back to the home theater system. An additional subwoofer has been added to the subwoofer output and it thunders, but even turned all the way down it makes a popping noise when turned on or off. Tried with two different subs, works with both. This is a problem with the fact that there is no subwoofer soft-off function on the control panel. Turning the subwoofer all the way up or turning it off will not work. In addition, the output voltage is low. Then after a few days the bluetooth wouldn't connect, my devices couldn't see it. The remote control stopped working after 3 days. The subwoofer level does not stay in place. I see a firmware update. Why would anyone do that! The product must work from the factory. That's one of the reasons I refrained from buying a factory upgraded Yamaha YAS 207. To be honest I got a replacement because I like how it looks and sounds good. So far so good, out of the box I updated the firmware to T. I have a Yamaha 108 for my bedroom and it also needed an immediate update. Other brands in other bedrooms, JBL, Vizio and LG didn't need an update. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the necessary updates and other unacceptable quirks.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Communication with seller
