I rarely write reviews but I can say that buying these compression stockings "saved" me on a recent trip to Europe. I googled, found these socks and decided to buy a pair to take on a trip to Europe. I'm 68 years old, I'm healthy, I don't really have any problems, but I've just decided to buy a pair. I wore them on a flight and they felt great and kept my feet from swelling. We had a wonderful trip until I decided to wear sandals when visiting the Marble Stairs Museum - bad idea. I ended up falling down the last 3 steps and when I landed I was pretty sure I broke my leg. Luckily I didn't break it, but the next day I had to fly a 9am plane and couldn't go without some great compression stockings. When I got home I went to the doctor and he told me to keep wearing the compression stocking and keep my leg as high as possible. Well, it's been 3 weeks and yesterday was the first day I went without my wonderful compression stocking. I wear size 13 shoes and the sock was very comfortable for my swollen and purple foot. I folded the sock about 4 inches from the knee because I have a large shin size. The sock has NEVER lost density! I wore it to work with open sandals. I can never thank the company enough for making such wonderful socks. Whenever someone travels, I never leave without compression stockings.
