This clicker worked great for our very shy three legged chihuahua mix. He was very nervous about all the other clickers and as soon as you pressed he would slip into his kennel. We bought this and set it to the lowest level. He didn't like it at first anyway, but he wasn't scared enough to run away (just looked a little tired). However, we kept practicing and once he understood that the click means a treat, he comes out as soon as I take it. I put it on the 2nd setting when we are in noisy places and now it usually suits him. The second setting is similar to a "normal clicker" in my opinion. The 3rd level is for very noisy places or dogs with very poor hearing.
