I bought two Motorola modems. One at a higher price for me (MB8600) then this one (MB7621) for my sister. Mine failed within 6 months for no apparent reason. No storms, lightning, power surges, just surfing the web one minute and brick the next. I had to go through so much pain to get my replacement back. Blocking my credit card until they got the roast had to contend with the warranty department as I wasn't using it as a basketball or handling it in any way. It's just on the table. really Motorola? I don't think my sister's modem did the same thing in 3 months! Needless to say, I was furious when I was told that we would have to deactivate Xfinity's borrowed modem, reactivate their modem so that they would think it was useless, and then reactivate the borrowed modem. then send one to a friend as a replacement. thus another deactivation and reactivation for a product likely to be frying again within a few months. NO! Worst of all, when I called the Motorola customer service/warranty rep, they laughed at him like he was super excited to be such a nuisance. Then his laughter got louder and his tone changed to a very condescending one when I told him I would call Revane and just get my money back for this defective item. He guaranteed me that I would do the best he said because I would never get my money back after having the item with me for so long. In a nutshell. THANK YOU AMAZON. Love you all for getting my hard earned money back so I can get rid of this Motorola modem! I will NEVER have another Motorola product as long as I live!
