The tool works, but I found it a bit cumbersome. When the locking pin is properly seated in the latch, the rod will deviate from the correct position when upward pressure is applied and the tool may slip out of the door latch if not held in that position with your free hand. I used to hire a door at a local auto repair shop and this tool was way better in terms of usability and results. I'm considering spending a little more money for a better device.
