These are really good discs for removing paint, rust and small scratches. No luck with mill scale, I use a hard wheel for this or buy pickled and oiled steel. One reviewer mentioned the following: Stay away from corners. The wheel will break and throw pieces. The parts move at about Mach 2 and sting a little on impact, and anyone working near you will be pretty upset. Definitely need a full face shield and heavy clothing. Second, the wrench that came with my Dewalt angle grinder does NOT have teeth (bolts?) long enough to tighten the retaining ring that holds the wheel. The wheels are thicker the longer the teeth are. I made a 1" tooth wrench to tighten the lock ring. No problems now.
