Review on Optimized BlueDevil Power Steering Leak Stopper by Antonio Parson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Half a bottle and 5 minutes idling stopped a constant leak

I had a fairly constant power steering fluid leak in my 2002 BMW X5. Like some of the other reviewers here, I tried a few other products first. Started with Bar's, a two part product that seemed to work for a day or two but then proved ineffective. Next I tried to stop a Lucas power steering leak and I usually think Lucas products are great, but this one didn't change the leak. I asked Firestone to look at it during one of their multi-point inspections and they told me it was indeed the strut that ruptured, not the seal, causing a large leak that couldn't be repaired. The repair cost $1,800. As "why not try", I bought this Blue Devil product as a last resort before considering swallowing the fix. Surprisingly, this prevented the liquid from spilling after about 5 minutes of inactivity with only half a bottle. It's been 10 days so far and there hasn't been any sign of Keak returning at all. I can't say how long it can last, but overall I'm very impressed
