These drills are designed for working in materials where high pressure is impractical. I have used them successfully on ceramic, terracotta and glass. The more traditional flat point masonry bits require pressure to work, in fact a hammer drill is recommended. They are more accurate and work with minimal pressure. Water cooling is strongly recommended.
