I got this because of the power rating, I connected 3 external hard drives with no problems. That, 3 mice, headphones and plenty of free slots to quickly plug in anything I might need. If you tend to use multiple monitors, two keyboards and a drawing tablet then this thing is amazing. It also has amazing build quality. It's very steely, like everything around it. Other USB hubs I've used were plastic and the bottom was a bit flimsy, but not this one. Before that I had a Sabrent USB hub which was also amazing. It hasn't let me down, just needed more USB connections, this Sabrent is still in use elsewhere and has been running for two years now. I will always recommend sabrent, I have never had a bad product from them. I'm new to this brand and I hope this USB hub doesn't let me down. I've been using it for about 3 months. The biggest downside someone mentioned is the buttons. They fall off easily. If the buttons were on the right side it would be perfect. Be careful with hard drives connected to a hub, they're really easy to disable. However, removing a star is not enough. I will update if anything changes for sure.
