Based on my experience of buying car dash mounts, I usually don't like them on the windshield or vent because they obstruct my view and then pull air into the vent I had this car The phone mount is about two months old and i installed them on the dash. The instructions say you have to let it sit for a day before using it and it's been the best thing in the world ever since. Keeps my phone fairly secure and out of sight while driving, but only where I need it to make calls or look up directions when needed. The only thing I don't like is the lack of automation when you slide your phone into the holder - not a big deal if you have a regular case on your phone, but I have a grip strap on the back of my case and usually have to I install it properly on the mount before I have the mount to hold my phone, but even then it doesn't fall to the floor of the car while driving. Another advantage is that there is room for a charging port to connect your charger while driving. I definitely recommend it. Price-performance ratio.
