I used this item to make mods for my 19 F150 Platinum with Forscan. It worked great with my Windows 10 Surface Pro tablet and Forscan software. Forscan tells you when to toggle the switch when reading/programming different modules. At first I had a few hiccups when the computer didn't pull the driver automatically. What worked for me was plugging everything into the truck, then rebooting the surface pro with the scanner plugged into the truck, turning on the power, and then the surface recognized the scanner in the devices and I was ready to go. I didn't have to manually pull the driver. Tip: Make sure the forscan software and advanced licensing process are completed and activated before using this scan tool. There is a small booklet with instructions on how to use it and how to manually pull the driver if needed. Don't forget to save all completed modules before you start creating mods.
