Bought for my 03 Matrix XRS. The exchange took no more than 5 minutes, everything fitted perfectly. I used a hard small blade putty knife to pry open the FRONT of the panel next to the button on the passenger front panel. DO NOT pry from the side closest to the rear window controls or you will break the tab holding that side. After removing the controller from the door, disconnect the wiring harness by pressing down firmly on the latch (I used a small flathead screwdriver for this) and wiggling back and forth while the latch is depressed. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the 3 bottom screws that secure the faceplate and attach the faceplate to the new controller. Replacing Screws and Wiring Harness First place the controller at a 45 degree angle in the bottom of the door with the rear window controller facing down. Press firmly on the front panel until it clicks and you're done.
