Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Powerful Syntus Precision Screwdriver for Electronics and Cellphones by Joshua Paulson

Good quality and value. Handle a bit large

I had a repair that required a mini Torx screwdriver. Couldn't find my General Tools (GT) set so decided to just get another set. This set is definitely an upgrade from the GT version. All parts are heavier and easier to change bits, insert shank and lock than GT. The handle of this set feels a little big and long in my hands (I wear a large glove snugly). Not as maneuverable as GT and Craftsman mini screwdrivers. I don't know where they get 63 from unless they count the hull. All items pictured are included. A few points to watch out for. The handle length is approximately 5 3/8 inches. The top is a typical spinning cap. There is an extension feature that allows the tool to be extended up to 8 ยผ inches without a bit. There are a total of 5 length settings. Pulled out at will, the shaft dangles a little. Only the shortest setting seems reliable. The bits are made of polished steel as standard. They are not magnetic. The handle has a magnet integrated into the bit holder. The flexible extension also has a magnet in the bit holder. The magnets actually hold the bits in place, they don't lock. There are 9 bit holders with 6 bits each. Unfortunately, their positioning has bits that obscure the indication of which bit is in the next holder. Only the first (lower) holder is clearly visible. The mold that holds the screwdriver handle, flexible extension, ยผ" adapter and bit holders is made out of cheap clear plastic, just like on the clamshell packaging. I believe this will be the first part to fail. If you did the math, 9 bit holders with 6 bits each equals 54. There are two bits just floating around in the box. This folding material fixes the ยผ" adapter in the box. Three plastic openers for opening phone and hard drive cases also float in the bag. Looks like they were added late. Every time I open the case, falls pick out and the other two pieces just get in the way. I could definitely do without those items in the box. Now they're in my computer toolbox. Overall I'm happy with this tool. Aside from the feel of the handle and the clamshell -Plastic material everything else is fine. That's a pretty good value. If I had to do it again I would go for a thinner and shorter grip. When using this type of driver I usually use the tips of my index and middle fingers as well my thumb. Due to the thickness of the handle, it is not as easy as with other models. The GT is definitely better in this respect. The quality of the instrument is g u. I had to remove some stuck T6 Torx screws and this screwdriver did the job with little effort and without damaging the bit. For this purpose the large grip was an advantage and the reason I kept it. But for most of the work I would use it for, a smaller, thinner pen would be better.

Pros
  • Drill Bit
Cons
  • Out of fashion
