They are perfect! The audio out jack on my laptop has been broken for a long time and I used a headphone jack extender and lots of tape to push it in and hold it in place for my computer to recognize it. I couldn't move it because it didn't fit in my laptop bag with the extra bundle of tape and string, plus it had to be handled with care. My computer recognized the USB and set everything up in seconds. After I set it as the default for my computer's audio output, my laptop immediately remembers the setting and switches back even if I unplug and plug it back in. I used to have problems when my laptop tried to reinstall the hardware driver every time I plugged in a certain PnP item, even though I used that item a lot, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. The sound quality is good. I haven't noticed any degradation from my ATH-M50s (which are studio headphones), but someone with a more trained ear might appreciate them better. They seem to be quite durable, although I've only had them for a few weeks. . Let's see if they stand the test of time; I will follow up on this review after a few months or once they fall off normal wear and tear. In general, I'm excited. They solved so many functionality and portability issues for me with my laptop and they were so cheap! <3
