The first thing I noticed when I received it was that it looked sturdy and thin. It has a body similar to the Microsoft Surface and weighs very little. However, when I received it, the packaging was damaged due to improper delivery. The monitor inside was broken so I called customer service and they answered right away. The customer service there was fantastic because they got me a replacement asap and gave very clear instructions on what I needed to do to get the package shipped to them. When I received the replacement monitor, I connected it to my laptop and turned on the monitor. It can get power, sound and display from my laptop through a single cable. If you're reading this review, you're probably wondering if the Gamut model is better, and it definitely is. The gamut model doesn't make it brighter than regular monitors, it makes the color "more colorful". Just look at the picture below, with my Dell monitor on the left and this Lepow monitor on the right. I've displayed the same image on both monitors to show the color comparison. If you look, you can see that the liana is greener and the mangrove trunk is a much better shade of red on the Lepow monitor. If you want a monitor that displays colors better and is suitable for on the go, you should definitely get this one. I can even put this monitor in my laptop along with my computer and take it with me wherever I go. If Lepow is reading this, please improve your packaging. If the monitor had been shipped in bubble wrap instead of plastic I'm pretty sure it would never have been damaged.
