I bought this harness because the handles on the back were very strong and could be used with a harness. I have another harness for my other much smaller dog that I've been using for about 16 years, it's no longer in production and I've never found one this good. It can slide forward or backward. The middle buckle just doesn't fix the harness to the neck or tail. I had it in the tightest position and while it fit snugly, my dog didn't want to go home after a walk and just slipped out. an effort. I have a mother harness for her and she can still slip out if she really wants to and I'm pretty sure it almost cuts the circuit.
