I noticed quite a strong draft coming out of my back door and after some comparisons I settled on this sweeper. I didn't bother drilling the door, preferring that idea to short-lived adhesives. I took the advice of others and bought a cheap hacksaw and used it to cut 2" off each side so the screws were evenly spaced on my 32" door. It took a few minutes to cut each side, but it was fairly easy, although it was also easy to accidentally scratch the paint while cutting. I would suggest putting several layers of tape on the area next to the cut to avoid this. I did a little sanding around the edges to clean it up. It was as easy to install as you would expect, align and drill - all in 1 minute. Now the door completely adjoins the threshold and the draft has decreased. were completely excluded. $10 well spent and seems to be much more durable than clean vinyl/tape strips. It's almost invisible on my white door.
