Review on BINSTAK Spoilboard Surfacing Router Bits: Flattening and Flawless Woodworking Cuts by Adam Tidd

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large Slab Dresser

Excellent bit. Used with router slides to level a 9'0" x 20" silver maple live edge panel with 3/4" cups on each side (only 1.5" wood is removed this way). The bit left a very smooth surface. During operation, the knives did not twist, cut without bending. Believe me, the burrs that formed were the result of slight mount misalignment. I checked the squareness of the bit with the shank, everything is there. Using a 3 1/4 HP Triton Router at 18,000 RPM, he created almost full 2" passes that were approximately 1/8" deep. The company that seems to own this had good reviews so I took a chance. Very happy with the results.

Pros
  • Used on CNC machines and other automatic milling machines, as well as portable handheld and desktop milling machines. For example woodworking engraving machine, edge cutter etc.
