I sought the opinion of experts before making a purchase. My travels consist of primarily urban areas (80%) and rural areas (20%). I was hoping to find tires identical to those, so that driving on asphalt was comfortable and primers presented little danger. This design came highly suggested by good friends. They reported that the tires performed well on both paved roads and mild off-road terrain. According to my friends and the reviews on this site, as well as my own experience with the tires, they seem to be a good fit. It turns out that the vendor did not exaggerate either. The lack of noise was the first thing I noticed, even though these tires appear to have a more aggressive tread pattern than my old set. My friend told me that tires should create a loud noise when they have such a tread. Unlike the others, this one is remarkably quiet. The only little issue is that the pebbles tend to get trapped in the tire a little bit after priming. But, as companions point out, this behavior is typical for a protector. In conclusion, I am quite satisfied with these wheels.
